CFO BY DAY, DJ BY NIGHT

I’ve always seen myself as an outlier in finance.  I’ve been a music obsessive since i was 10 and I’ve always tried to throw house party events for friends in the UK.

When I moved to Dubai in 2014, I pretty much signed my social death warrant for doing anything like that in the UAE.  The social scene here is very very different to the UK and the finance social scene is practically non-existent.  I can count on one hand the number of post work drinks I’ve been to with my colleagues in those 10 years.

In 2022, my social life had an unexpected change for the better.  Through an opportunity to stage an event in a hotel, I met Dani Hakim and founded Ravers In Dubai.  To cut a very very long story short, I have grown the community to 8k followers over Facebook & Instagram and have staged over 30 events in Dubai, djing at most of them and doing most of the social media, creative and promotion.

For some time, I thought my success was due to me spending every waking hour on it (which I did) and my knowledge of electronic music.  As time went by, I started realizing I have a creative side, I’m quite good at selling to people (in my way) and just generally getting stuff done!!  My newfound confidence was a key catalyst in quitting my job and starting FeeFi.

Now, I’ve got a renewed energy to grow my business and try to keep the spirit of Ravers In Dubai alive in how I work with my clients.  It needs to be fun.  Well, as much fun as it can be working in Finance!
